The Plastic Omnium Urban Systems quality control system has been built over time around the ISO 9000 system, with the objective of achieving ISO 9001 certification for all its production sites.

Plastic Omnium Urban Systems plants are certified ISO 9001. This quality control system covers product design, production, delivery and product-linked services. Every year, the certificate is re-assessed by a new certification audit.

The ISO standard (International Standards Organisation) is an international standard which covers 42 signatory countries across the world.

All raw materials are systematically controlled to ISO 9000 standard with, the finished products subjected to the following tests :

• Accelerated artificial sunlight unit
• Immersion in a bath containing a surface active agent in order to assess internal stresses
• Impact resistance testing after twelve hours at minus eighteen degrees.

Should there be the slightest doubt in the series produced since the previous day’s testing, then the entire production run is cancelled.

In addition to tests done by external laboratories to obtain the quality label, conformity to European standards is checked by the laboratories at our plants.
